The airport is approximately 30km outside of Xining. There are airport shuttles buses to the city for RMB 16 and a taxi should cost RMB 100.The city has many domestic connections but no international flights. There¡¯s a flight to Lhasa twice a week during the summer for about RMB 1,300 plus the costs of the necessary permits. You¡¯ll need to go through the CITS (China International Travel Service) in order to book tickets to Lhasa.
