As one of the three largest hunting fields in China, the Balong lnternational Hunting Field in Dulan County of Qinghai Province, opened by the state, is 600 kilometers away from Xining, with many wild animals of different kinds.
It has three main hunting spots: Balong, Gouli and Xiangjia, occupying an area of more than 44,000 square hectares,4,300 meters above sea level, where hunters can hunt twenty kinds of wild animals such as blue sheep, goat, argalis, white-lip deer, brown bear, snow leopards and lynxes.
There are two hunting seasons in the field: sping season, from March to mid May; fall season, from mid August to late December.
