A visitor is taking a cell phone picture of Tibetan Buddhist craftworks. QHNEWS--Qinghai Folk Culture Exhibition, themed "In a Faraway Place--- beautiful Qinghai"opened in Beijing's Capital Library on Mar. 3, 2005 .
This event is free and will last for 10 days from this Thursday to March 12.
Traditional costume and customs of ethnic groups in Qinghai including Tibetan, Hui, Mongolian, Salar and Tu (an ethnic group only inhabits in Qinghai) will be displayed with pieces of photographs and artwork and performances.
Folk artists from Qinghai will also give on-the-spot show on paper-cutting and puppet shadow play.
A special-topic speech meeting on Tibetan antelope , an endangered animal under the state's first-level protection will also be held at the same time. Tibetan antelope is the candidate mascot for the 29th Beijing Olympic Games. Editem (Mar.4, 2005)
