QHNEWS --It¡¯s learned from Qinghai Provincial Department of Land and Natural Resources that the largest strontium-carbonate producing factory in Qinghai will be put into production in Delhi, Haixi Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture.
Strontium-carbonate resource collectively distributes around Dafengshan Mt. and Jiandingshan Mt. in the northwest of Chaidam Basin, Qinghai.
To transform the resource advantage into an economic one, the strontium -carbonate factory, mainly producing products like strontium-carbonate, vulcanized-natrium and limestones, has been founded under the approval of the provincial planning and development committee.
Its products are mainly used in the production of colour television kinescope, magnetic material, metallurgy ,pottery and porcelain.
The factory has the largest ore-selection plant in the nation, which has a 0.3-million-ton ore-selection capacity yearly.
The strontium mine is the richest of its kind in the world. It¡¯s expected to realize a 0.2-billion Yuan sales income and a profit of 20 million Yuan. Editem (Mar.14, 2005)
