QHNEWS -- Qinghai will take greater efforts to give a comprehensive control on water pollution along the Huangshuihe River and practise the permission on waste water drainage along the river. Enterprises¡¯ illegal exhaust emission will be punished.
Enterprises which fail to stably reach the standard on exhaust emission will be commanded to rectificate in a time limit, that is to limit the production and exhaust emission. Enterprises will be cracked down if they fail to conform to the exhaust emission standard even beyond the rectification time limit.
The control on solid wastes pollution will focus on industries such as firepower generation, metallurgy and mining distributing in Xining and Haixi Mongolian and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. The reutilization of industrial waste materials will also be practised actively at an enhanced level to realize the effective saving of resources on a hazard-free basis.Editem (Mar.31, 2005)
