QHNEWS -- The lessening current in the upper reaches of the Yellow River has been bringing difficulties in water supply and power generation in the lower-reach areas. The Sanjiangyuan Area is also facing a disadvantageous situation of continuous ecological deterioration partially caused by the rainfall shortage. To ease the severe situation mentioned above, Qinghai has begun to carry out artificial precipitation since July 15 for 2005 summer and autumn. The artificial precipitation will last till Oct . 31.
