QHNEWS -- Invested with 3 billion Yuan, the 0.9-million-ton alkali production item , the first phase of the 1.8-million-ton production item is being carried on steadily since the starting in June. With a daily output of about 2000 tons, 100,000 tons have been produced currently.

The alkali production item is located in the suburbs of Delingha City in the northeast of Qaidam Basin of Qinghai Province and is funded by Zhejiang Glass Stock Co., Ltd. Upon the completion of the producing project , it will become the largest alkali production base in west China. Editem (December  8, 2005  By Judy)
