April 8, the reporter learned from the provincial government that this year, our province will start 5 electric power projects, the total investment surpasses 9,000,000,000 Yuan, occupies to entire province new operation construction key project near half.

It is known that in 2008 the provincial government determined that the operation construction 11 key projects, there are 5 items involves in the electric power facility items of basic construction, respectively is 330 kilovolt Taoyuan power transformer project, 750 kilovolt Xining to Gansu Yongdeng two return wire road work regulation, Guoluozhou electrifies project as well as the Shitou canyon hydroelectric power station project and the Yangqu hydroelectric power station constructs project, the total investment surpasses 9,000,000,000 Yuan. And, 330 kilovolt peach Taoyuan power transformer project, total investment 310,000,000 Yuan, will build new line 56 kilometers, additional power transformation capacity 721,000 volt-amperes; 750 kilovolt Xining to the Yongdeng two return wire road work regulation, the total investment 300,000,000 Yuan, newly built double returns line 169 kilometers; At present, these two projects are carrying on the construction layout design; Total investment 420,000,000 Yuan Guoluozhou electrifies the project, will rebuild, newly built transformer substation each one, the addition installed capacity 3600 kilowatts, after the project completes, enormously will improve the Guoluo electrical network's power supply ability. These 3 projects will complete in 2009 and start transport.

The total installed capacity 1,200,000 kilowatt Yangqu hydroelectric power station project will be our province the key water and electricity items of basic construction which will construct in ¡°the 11th Five-Year Plan¡± the later period, the project investment reaches as high as 7,180,000,000 Yuan, in the year will start the base of dam excavation works; Shitou canyon hydroelectric power station project total installed capacity 90,000 kilowatts, project power transformation capacity 721,000 volt-amperes.
